Best Deik Vacuum for Pets [2020 Reviews]
If you are looking for affordable vacuum cleaners that you can rely on to make your home as neat as a new pin, then there is something for you in Deik’s vacuum cleaner line-up.
Deik is trusted for producing inexpensive home and office cleaning appliances as well as a range of other every-day-use tools. Their vacuum cleaners offer the same functionality, convenience, and performance as vacuums from the big boys like Dyson and Shark. Only, Deik’s vacuums won’t put a hole in your pocket.
Durability is there. I particularly love how Deik really listens to the market. They constantly modify, upgrade, and release new models that address most of the issues their customers cited in the initial products.
You’ll agree that it's quite rare for any of the big brands to take customer feedback and complaints seriously. Deik changes the game plan.
If you are new to the Deik family, you will quickly learn that they pay utmost attention to convenience, versatility, and lightweight impression. Most of their vacuums are really light but extremely powerful.
Also, you can easily go from cleaning the hard floor to the carpet without having to change out tools or dial up the suction. Manoeuvrability is certainly a plus for their line of cleaners.
The section below will review some of the Best Deik Vacuum Cleaners. They may not be prime units that have really shaken the market, but they are great options if you need a powerful horse on a reasonable budget.
This was Deik’s best-selling lightweight vacuum. You might remember it by another name, ZB1516. With this model, Deik managed to seamlessly fuse lightweight convenience with practical features and a powerful suction, while still maintaining the price at its low range.
As you’d expect from a stick vacuum, the wand detaches easily to turn your vacuum into a handheld unit. Deik calls this the 2 in 1 vacuum cleaner, but really, if you are familiar with a number of vacuum brands, you already know this to be a popular feature these days.
All the same, it’s a versatility you must appreciate if you frequently clean areas like the car seat, around upholstery, or the occasional spot cleaning on the carpet and drapes.
As a full stick vacuum, the MT1206 feels light in the hand but you can tell that it’s a powerful cleaner capable of handling the most challenging situations. It is cordless, so it runs on Li-ion battery, but it still packs as much micro-engine power as your corded vacuums.
A full charge can take you through 25 to 35 min fade-free cleaning. You get a steady suction that really pulls all the dirt out of your carpet and upholstery.
I love how manoeuvrable this vacuum is. Not only can you clean spots up high in the ceiling without hurting your muscle, but also, the thing swivels quickly to make controlling and steering really easy on the open areas. Some full-size upright vacuums not only weigh on you but also make turning a bother.
This vac uses the multi-cyclonic system filter with a HEPA filtration stage for trapping dust and allergens found on your pillows, drapes, and carpets. HEAP filtration is ideal for homes with pets, especially if asthma and allergies are a concern.
In my opinion, this Deik is an excellent 2-in-1 vacuum that is powerful enough to handle most cleaning jobs. For a budget-friendly vac, it does come with some serious premium features you’ll love.
Although, I have to add that the dust bin is rather small at only 17 oz. Most vacuums its size come in at 20 oz. This won’t be an issue if you are only doing small clean up jobs. If you need something to clean whole rooms with, 3 extra ounces would have made a notable difference.
- Easy to put together and start using
- Long battery life for the powerful suction
- Its lightweight and small size make it easy to carry and manoeuvre
- Comes with HEPA filtration
- Wall mount for neat storing
- The canister is on the small size
Deik really outperformed themselves with this vacuum. Its design is nothing similar to the previous models and with the EV-660, they have fixed most of the issues found in their earlier models.
You can tell from the emphasis of rectangular forms with clean horizontal and vertical line edge detailing of the canister that this is a modern styled vacuum cleaner.
It’s design features practical innovations like swivel steering and a low-profile body to expand your reach and helps you easily clean your home, in the car, kitchen, and office. The folding handle design is a wonderful innovative addition that makes this unit easy to store.
This is a 2-in-1 vacuum. The removable part for handheld functionality is the vacuum itself. It attaches to the pole to extend it into an upright vacuum. It attaches to the middle of the pole to veer away from the traditional stick design where the motor component is located close to the handle.
This new design helps eliminate the problem of wrist pain from supporting the whole weight of the machine when cleaning.
Deik also brought back the suction power with this new model. This vacuum is a real power horse running at 13kpa. You get two speeds even though the regular speed works well for most cleaning tasks. All the same, you also have the boost mode should you need it.
They also juiced up the battery on this model. Now you get a powerful battery that has a really long life. You get up to 60 min fade-free use. Depending on how you use it, you could easily do the car and living room and even have some charge left to clean the bedroom floors before it runs out of juice. Say, 2hours tops.
Another thing Deik improved on is the dust bin capacity. You now have a larger 20 oz. cup, which really a big step for Deik, considering that previous models barely got past 15 oz. Deik never went for dirt cup capacity bigger 15 in their other models because bigger dirt bins get in the way when vacuuming under furniture with smaller allowances.
Instead of making the dust bin on this vacuum wider, they made it longer so it can have the desired capacity while maintaining a low profile for easy under furniture cleaning. The dirt cup on this unit is transparent so you can tell when it needs emptying.
Overall, this is a great vacuum ideal for anyone who needs a powerful upright vac to clean whole rooms but also don’t want to forgo the convenience of a handheld unit for occasional spot cleaning.
- Easily converts to handheld to clean around sofas, car seats and cabinets
- It is less weight and more manoeuvrable
- Powerful motor for deep suction combines with latest battery tech to save on consumption
- Comes with a larger dustbin capacity compared to other cordless vacs
- Independent filtration system uses HEPA to capture small dust particles and allergens so your air remains clean and fresh
- Stands upright on its own
- Washable filter makes it easy to clean after using.
- The handle folds so you can store in cabinets with little space left
- No place to store the attachments for the handheld
This is Deik’s full-sized upright vacuum applauded by many for offering a wonderful customer experience.
It is definitely a bulky vacuum weighing at 8 pounds, but there is another version of the same model that weighs much less; 5.1 pounds. Even so, it is the best vacuum cleaner if you can get past the whole weight matter.
The suction on this unit is fairly powerful. At 10kps I figure you know that it can pick up just about any kind of dirt and debris seated dep in your rug, sofa, car seats, and even on hardwood floors. It uses centrifugal force to spin dirt and dust from clogging the motor as it sucks in the dirt during cleaning.
This helps it to remain consistent and maintain a powerful suction. However, you will notice that it does not have a fade-free suction. It loses suction power as the battery wears down.
The VCS1000 Deik doesn’t come equipped with most of the cleaning tools you’ll find in most stick versions, which are more versatile. However, you’ll get essential tools for whole-home cleaning.
A convenient feature (non-cleaning tool) you’ll get is a docking bracket. You can neatly hang your vacuum on the wall when you are done cleaning so it doesn’t get in the way of other activities.
This unit comes with the largest dust bin any vacuum can claim to have. This is important for any upright vacuum since you’ll want to clean whole rooms without having to run off to empty out after every few passes. The dirt bin does come off easily for emptying.
Even though this is an extra-large upright unit and a little on the heavy side, it is surprisingly easy to manoeuvre.
Most of the electronics and motor components are housed in the cylindrical canister at the middle of the stick giving the vacuum a lower centre of gravity for easy turning and smooth-rolling.
You will also be surprised how low this unit can drop when you need to reach farther under furniture. Sometimes, the protruding large bin will get in the way if the furniture doesn’t have a fair amount of clearance.
A 7" clearance should be enough. You might also have to rotate the vacuum such that you slide it under the furniture with the canister facing sideways.
- Powerful battery goes up to 50 minutes
- 5 ounces big dust cup
- Simple one-button dust bin empty
- Wall mounting option available for less space occupying storage
- Washable & changeable Filters
- As a full-sized upright vacuum, it is bulky
- Not for cleaning under furniture
- Doesn’t have a removable handheld part
This is Deik Robotic vacuum which is priced well under entry-level robots for most brands.
This is a 3-in-1 robotic cleaner that sweeps, vacuums, and mops your floors. It comes with 4 side brushes for sweeping; their performance around edges is stunning. The main cleaning brush stirs up dirt, dust and debris from the surface and the cleaner sucks in all that dirt.
There is a mopping function included that uses water from the internal tank to wet mop the floor if you need it. Aside from the mopping function, this robotic cleaner gives you 4 other cleaning modes to choose from; Auto, spot, edge and single room cleaning.
The Auto mode is the default cleaning mode that uses a smart motion navigation system to clean your house. You will notice that this fellow always knows where to turn to next no matter what cleaning mode you are in.
I find its suction, 1.2 KPa, to be quite strong enough to keep the house constantly clean. This is enough power to suck the dust, dander, and dirt into the dustbin and the HEPA filter works to trap all the particles in the cleaner instead of releasing them back into the air.
This Deik has an impressively large dust bin for a Robot Vacuum Cleaner. It can hold 0.65 litres of dust and debris. Compared to other robotic vacs such as the Roomba iRobot and Shark Ion Robot line-up, you’ll need to empty out your dust bin less frequently.
This is definitely a convenient cleaner to have around if you want to take the hassle out of cleaning after the dog or your equally messy kids. Its price point certainly doesn’t hurt the pocket and HEPA is good for asthmatics and members with allergies.
- Convenience of scheduled cleaning
- Cleans edges quite easily
- Multi surface cleaning; hard floors ad carpets
- Anti-Drop & Anti-Collision sensors keep your robot safe
- Powerful battery goes up to 90 minutes
- HEPA Filters traps allergens and dust
- Won’t clean your stairs, car seat, behind the fridge, or any other tight spots.
You might remember the ZB-1516 from when we covered the MT1206 earlier. Well, this is the newer version of the same model.
I must say, Deik really did it this time. They were able to create a truly lightweight vacuum cleaner and boost its motor power so you get the best cleaning performance. This is only a 2-in-1 stick vacuum cleaner but it certainly beats most full-size upright corded vacuum cleaners.
At 11kpa, it has no problems picking up dust, dirt, crumbs, rocks, sticks, and little papers. Most importantly you will have an easy time getting rid of those dreadful dog hairs - now tangled deep into your carpet.
Needless to say, this is perfect for homes with dogs with very long hair and constant shedding. You’ll be stunned at what this cleaner can pick up off your floors and rugs. The brushes don’t tangle in hairs.
My favourite feature is the manoeuvrability of the cleaning brush as a stick vacuum. It swivels around however you need it to go. This makes moving around edges and cleaning under furniture a breeze. It can lay almost completely flat to get underneath furniture – even the couch and credenza that have minimal clearance.
Of course, as a 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner, this unit easily converts to a handheld cleaner if you are done cleaning the ceiling using the wand and crevice tool and now want to get to the dirt in tighter spots around the car seat, and sofa. At 3.1 lbs you bet this unit won’t hurt your wrist even if you were to use it all day. Well, of course, you’ll have to go several rounds of charging to use it all day!
Overall, this is one of Deik’s best stick vacuum. The upgrades truly make the unit a lightweight cleaner that even the best brands’ stick vacuum line-ups cannot contend with.
- Fairly light
- Easy to hold and control
- LED lights on the floor brush illuminate bits of fluff and dirt
- HEPA filtration
- No low power option
It’s only fair that I start by mentioning that this Deik stick really gives hardwood floors a good cleaning. It comes with a hardwood specialized tool which makes it perfect for homes with mainly hardwood floors. That’s not to say it won’t pick up dirt and pet fur from your carpets.
Deik wanted to achieve something new with this model. Well, if you look closely, it seems like they wanted to reproduce a Dyson look-alike, but did it rather discreetly.
Apparently, they failed to maintain the powerful motor suction and light weigh convenience they have steadily offered in their other stick vacuum models. At 5.5 lbs, this stick is really heavy, compared to the MT1206 at 4.7 lbs and ZB1516 at 3.1 lbs.
At least you get all the necessary tools for whole-house cleaning plus crevice and combination tools for reaching those difficult spots especially when you have it converted into a handheld unit.
The suction power is rated at 12kpa. Even so, the suction ‘sucks’ -no pun intended - because it tends fade as the power drains
This is a great vacuum, has a low profile, lies all the way down for under furniture cleaning, big enough dust canister, and it is optimized of hard floors. The only issue you might have is the 2 extra pounds this unit weighs compared to other Deik stick models.
- Easy to put together and start using
- Handle design won’t hurt your wrist
- Take care of the entire house (1500 square feet, easy)
- Long battery life for the strong suction
- HEPA filtration to keep the air cleaner
- Wall mount for neat storing
- Dust canister can be made larger
Deik really excelled at producing a machine that offers the convenience of having a handheld and an actual vacuum. This is perhaps the most ideal versatile cleaning vacuum from Deik. It’s an attractive vacuum – looking sleek and creatively designed – and would be a timeless addition to any home.
Unlike most other stick vacuums, this one doesn’t have the motor component and the dust cup at the top, close to the handle. Instead, these bulky components are placed in the middle-to-lower section of the stick.
The reason for this change in design was that having the main components adjustment to the wrist – like most Dyson V series and identical vacs- eventually causes wrist irritation – no matter how lightweight the vacuum is- since the user supports most of the weight. This vacuum solves that problem by distributing the weight down lower.
Swivel steering on this vacuum works like magic. You can control the cleaning nozzle to turn in any angle just by spinning your wrist. I find such swift but agile steering manoeuvres come in handy when you want to quickly clean around furniture or at the corners and edges of the room.
Between this newer model and the older Deik MT1206, this unit gives a weaker suction. This is probably the reason it can go straight 30 to 40 minutes while the later only gives you 25 min.
Even so, the cleaning performance is satisfactory. You get all the necessary tools for cleaning hardwood floors and carpets, plus the convenience of using it as a handled vacuum to clean small messes.
Again, the dust cup on this vacuum is small. In fact, at only 13.5 oz, it is smaller than our MT1206. But working on smaller messes with the handheld option won’t necessitate the need for a bigger dust bin capacity.
Deik has other options with bigger bust cups, those might be perfect for you if you need something that will clean a whole room without requiring frequent emptying.
- It is visually beautiful and makes a nice home décor
- Converts to a handheld vac for quick spot cleaning
- Removable dust bin for easy emptying
- Weight is distributed evenly to eliminate wrist pain
- Easy swivel steering
- The dust cup is small
